Carol RiceI am an abstract artist, obsessed with dots, I mostly paint acrylic on canvas. I would love to be doing more painting and less of my day job; maybe one day. As with many others the art has been spilling out of me since the first lockdown due to C-19; now I just can’t stop and I am loving it.
I am still finding my way. I paint to keep calm and my job is physical so this works for me. Currently I am living in Exeter with my husband and siamese cat. Commissions of course gladly taken. |

Helen's work is strongly influenced by her time living and teaching in South East Asia. Arts and crafts were abundant in every country, especially hand-built ceramic pots. Since returning to the UK, and then going into lockdown she used her time to explore the shapes, forms and colours that she experienced on her travels. She glazes her work using a combination of matt and high gloss commercial glazes and her own glaze. She paints the glaze on the surface and then uses a mouth atomizer to spray other glazes on top, layering the colours and seeing how these react in the kiln.
