Natalie was born in Surrey and moved to Devon in 1979 where she now lives with her husband. After her children grew up she decided to start painting again, having stopped to raise her children.
She paints in many mediums, watercolour being her favourite. The countryside in Devon gives Natalie inspiration for her paintings which she develops in her studio. Norfolk also has an influence on her work as her parents live there!! After many years of painting as a hobby Natalie now sells her work in Devon, Wales, Somerset and Norfolk. Natalie is arranging watercolour classes for beginners to start this September which she says, is a very exciting new venture. |
Helen's work is strongly influenced by her time living and teaching in South East Asia. Arts and crafts were abundant in every country, especially hand-built ceramic pots. Since returning to the UK, and then going into lockdown she used her time to explore the shapes, forms and colours that she experienced on her travels. She glazes her work using a combination of matt and high gloss commercial glazes and her own glaze. She paints the glaze on the surface and then uses a mouth atomizer to spray other glazes on top, layering the colours and seeing how these react in the kiln.

Andrew "Sam" Summerfield: Originally studied at Raynes Park School London, where he was tutored by Cecil Rielly of the Newlyn School. He went on to successfully exhibit his wildlife collection with the RSPB. When leaving education he had to decide if he would continue as a professional artist or pursue a technical career. He chose the latter. He rediscovered his love of art in 2017 during a holiday to the Lot Valley in France when he started painting en plien aire. This became his passion, capturing space and light using an impressionst/realist style. When he retired in 2023 it provided the opportunity to resume his artistic career making landscape paintings outdoors.in acrylic and pastel. He has recently exhibited at Powderham Castle and the Picturehouse Exeter to name two. His work is available from the Moments gallery in Cullompton and he regularly exhibits at The Strand Stores Culmstock. As a friend of the Cullompton Arts House he exhibits with them, and participates in the open studio event at Walronds Cullompton each year. Sam is always happy to consider commissions.
